Shadi Torbey

It is likely down to his career as an opera singer that Shadi Torbey became a game designer: often abroad and away from his regular gaming groups, he developed a keen interest in solitaire games.
He started to dream up a whole series of solitaire games that could be carried around and yet still offer the same kind of challenges as the multi-player games he had back home.
Published in 2010, Onirim was the first chapter in this series, now known as the ‘Oniverse’, and widely regarded as a staple of modern solitaire gaming.
Shadi lives in Brussels, Belgium, with his wife and two daughters.
